1. Clockwise Couple

A couple whose tendency is to rotate body, on which it acts, in clockwise direction, is called as a clockwise couple. Such a couple is called as positive couple

2. Anticlockwise Couple

A couple whose tendency is to rotate body on which it is acting, in anticlockwise direction is called as anticlockwise couple. Such a couple is called as Negative couple.
