Zinc sulphate reacts with sodium hydroxide first a little then in excess. Write balanced equations for the two reactions with different conditions..

When zinc reacted in limited amount:

Zn+2NaOH→Na₂ZnO₂+H₂↑

(sodium zincate)

When zinc sulphate reacted in limited amount:

ZnSO₄+NaOH→Zn(OH)₂+Na₂SO₄

When reacted in excess:

A perecitate of Zinc Hydroxide is formed

Zn(OH)₂ + 2 OH-(from NaOH)→ Zn(OH)₄-
