Zubeda made an electric circuit using a cell holder shown in figure, a switch and a bulb. When she put the switch in the ‘ON’ position, the bulb did not glow. Help Zubeda in identifying the possible defects in the circuit.

"The reason for which the bulb did not glow can be the rubber band that is tied to the cell holder may not be tight enough to adhere the two cells with each other. The circuit will not be complete if the two cells are not in proper contact with each other as a result of which the current will not flow through the circuit.
The other reason can be the two cells are not connected properly. In order to connect the two cells the negative terminal of one cell must be connected to the positive terminal of the other cell then only current will flow.
