Mainly there are three states of matter and we know them by the names of:- Solid, Liquid and Gas.

Properties:-

the molecules of solid are much closer than liquid and the molecules of liquid are closer than of gas.
solids are heavier than liquid and gas.
gas are well separated with no regular arrangement. liquid are close together with no regular arrangement. solid are tightly packed, usually in a regular pattern.Ionized Plasma, Quark-Gluon Plasma, Bose-Einstein Condensate and Fermionic Condensate are the other states of matter.
