0.3(6-x) = 0.4 (x+8)

=> 1.8 - 0.3 x = 0.4x + 3.2

=> 1.8 - 3.2 = 0.4x +0.3x

=> - 1.4 = 0.7x

=> - 14 = 7x

=> x = - 14/7

=> x = - 2

Hi Alisha38

0.3(6 - x) = 0.4(x + 8)
1.8 - 0.3x = 0.4x + 3.2
0.4x + 0.3x = 1.8 - 3.2
0.7x = - 1.4
x = - 1.4/0.7
x = -2

S = {- 2}

alisha38: thank u for ur help
