Interest paid by Susan = Rs 300
Interest paid by Susan = Rs 300
The difference between money deposited and withdrawn from the account after 1st monthc= Rs 2000
From this we can know that after every month Rs. 2000 will be reduced.
Therefore after 8 months total amount reduced = 2000 x 7 + 10000 = 24000
Initial amount = Rs 24000
Returned amount = Rs 5000
Remaining amount to be paid = 24000− 5000 = 19000 + interest on remaining amount.
As she paid the amount back after 3 months
Interest paid by Susan = Rs 100 × 3 = Rs 300
