Answers
Answer;
1)The significant landforms resulting from erosion by rivers include gorge, canyon, V-Shaped Valley, waterfall, pothole, structural bench, river terrace, river meander, ox-bow lake, peneplain, etc. Gorges are formed due to active down cutting of the valleys
2)Although they look lifelike and a little creepy, stalactites and stalagmites grow simply because of water running over and through inorganic material. Ca (HCO3)2 is known as calcium bicarbonate, and the water carries the substance, basically dissolved calcite, through the cracks of the roof of a cave.
3)Depositional Landforms:
Significant depositional landforms developed by sea waves include sea beaches, bars and barriers, offshore and longshore bars, spits, hooks, loops, connecting bars, looped bars, tombolo, Barrier Island, tidal inlets, winged headlands, progradation, wave-built platforms etc.
4)Moraines are divided into four main categories: lateral moraines, medial moraines, supraglacial moraines, and terminal moraines. A lateral moraine forms along the sides of a glacier. As the glacier scrapes along, it tears off rock and soil from both sides of its path.
