You have to generalize the sequence and divide the sequence unto the parts.
Whether it is odd or even. so the odd value -2,4,8,16 and even -3 ,9,27,81 etc.
So odd has the series can described as power 2 and series can be described a power of 3 . And 2(n+1)/2) is odd. And 3 (n/2).
