1.36 A body with a mass 150 kg is moving with an ini-
tial speed of 5 m/s towards 53° south of west. If a
force of 225 N directed towards the east acts on
the body for 2 seconds, the magnitude and direc-
tion of final velocity of the scooter is
(1) 3 m/s, towards west
(2) 8 m/s, towards 53° south of west
(3) 4 m/s, towards south
(4) 4 m/s, towards west

Explanation:

\huge\begin{lgathered}\frak\red{answer}\end{lgathered}

\huge\mathfrak\blue{given}

\tt mass=150kg

\tt u=5m/s

components of velocity vector::

in west direction = 5×cos53° = 3/5

in South direction=5×sin53°=4/5

\tt force\:acts\:on\:east\:direction

acceleration produced = F/m

====> 225/150

====> 45/30

====> 3/2

u=-3/5

a = 3/2

t = 2

v = -3/2 + 3

====> 3/2

so,

after breaking comonents

option b becomes correct....
