and 1/5x + 1/2y = 4/15 ------(2)

multiply by 2 in equation (1)

2/3x -1/2y + 2 = 0

now add this equation in (2)

2/3x + 1/5x = -2 +4/15

13/15x = -26/15

x = -1/2

put x = -1/2 in equation (1)

-2/3 -1/4y +1 = 0

1/3 -1/4y =0

1/4y = 1/3  

y = 3/4
