Answer:

4 m/s

Explanation:

By using conservation of momentum equation

mu = (M + m)v

v = mu / (M + m)

= (20 × 10^-3 × 200) / [(980 + 20) × 10^-3]

= 4 m/s

Block will move with velocity equal to 4 m/s

Answer:

4

Explanation:

Given,

m = 20 g = 0.02 kg

u = 200 m/s

M = 980 g = 0.98 kg

Now,

By using conservation of momentum equation

∴mu = (M + m)v

=> v = mu / (M + m)

=> (0.02 * 200) / [(0.98 + 0.02]

= 4
