Explanation:

we know that c=(k£A)/d

k= 1 for air

it is given c=75

so c=k*C(not)

dividing c=15

✸ Concept ✸

When ever a capacitor of capacitance 'C' is places in a medium of of dielectric constant 'K', the new capacitance be comes 'KC'.

✸ Process ✸

Using the above concept, let us consider the dielectric constant to be K.

So, C_i x K = C_f

Here, C_i  is the initial capacitance

          C_f is the final capacitance

Substituting the values:

5 x K = 75

K = 15

Hence, dielectric constant of the medium is 15.
