1. Ahimsa silk is a type of silk that is created in a manner, that does not kill silkworms or destroy its cocoons. This method of silk production was discovered by Kusuma Rajaiah from Andhra Pradesh, in 1992 and is supported by several animal rights and welfare associations, for its humane approach.

2. Shahtoosh is actually a woollen shawl, that is made from the wool, obtained from the endangered Tibetan antelope called ‘Chiru’. For the same reason, it is banned in most countries. The wool used for making such shawls, is one of the finest in the world.
