An organic compound containing C, H, O and S was subjected to two analytical
procedures, when 9.33 g sample was burnt it gave 19.50 g of Co, and 3.99 g of H.O. A
separate 11.05 g sample was burned with Na,0, and the resulting sulphate was
precipitated as BaSO4, which when washed and dried weighed 20.4 g. The amount of
oxygen in the sample is obtained by difference. Determine the empirical formula of the
compound.
