a.Quarts are these rocks or rock-forming minerals present in your locality

Explanation:

Rock Forming mineral:

Despite the fact that there are about 5000 recognised mineral species, the great majority of rocks are made up of combinations of a few common minerals known as "rock-forming minerals.

  • Quarts: The quart is a 1⁄4 gallon-sized English volume unit. The liquid and dry quarts of the US customary system, as well as the imperial quart of the British imperial system, are currently in use. All of them are around one litre. It's divided into two pints (four cups) and two pints (four cups).
  • Olivine: It is a Mg2SiO4 and Fe2SiO4 mixed crystal in which the magnesium atom is usually dominant. It is the most abundant mineral in the Earth's mantle. Massive slabs of olivine-rich rocks have been forced up from the mantle to the Earth's surface, where they may be extracted in open pit mining, thanks to plate-tectonic processes.
  • Feldspar: This is the name given to a collection of minerals that have alumina and silica (SiO2) in their chemical makeup. Aluminum silicates of soda, potassium, or lime belong to this category. It is the most common mineral group on the planet.
  • Marble: It is a metamorphic rock made up mostly of recrystallized carbonate minerals like calcite and dolomite. Although there are exceptions, marble is often not foliated. Marble refers to metamorphosed limestone in geology, but its use in stonemasonry embraces unmetamorphosed limestone as well.
