⚜Here's your answer :

Interconversion of matter :

  • It is the process of conversion of one form of matter into another without the change in mass.

example : Solid state to liquid state.

Melting :

  • It is process when a substance in solid state changes into liquid state at a particular temperature , without change in mass.

example : ice melts to form water.

Freezing :

  • It is the process when a substance in liquid state changes into solid state at a particular temperature , without change in mass.

example : water freezes to form ice.

Melting point :

  • It is the particular temperature at which a substance in solid state changes into liquid state without change in mass / the particular temperature at which melting occurs.

example : ice melts at 0°C to form water.

Freezing point :

  • It is the particular temperature at which a substance in a liquid state changes into solid state without change in mass / the particular temperature at which freezing occurs.

example : water freezes to ice at 0°C.
