Answers:

1) Viruses are a borderline between living and non living organisms because    they can survive in a host organism and use the machinery of the host.   Viruses can also be crystalized and stored for many years. Thus they are different from other microorganisms.

2) A pandemic is a disease occurring over a wide geographic area and affecting an exceptionally high proportion of the population.

3) Virus

4) It spread because many people travelled from Wuhan (the city of the origin of the virus) to other countries in the world.

5) It is advised to use sanitizers as they can kill harmful microorganisms on your palm, thus preventing spread of disease. Masks are to be used for covering your mouth and nose so that your cough and sneeze droplets do not affect people

6) The guidelines are as follows:

  • Stay at home and if you need to go outside, then wear a mask
  • Avoid travelling
  • Maintain distance from people outside (social distancing)
  • Don't touch anyone
  • Respect doctors, nurses and other people who are working tirelessly to fight the virus
