1: If A = { 1 , 3 , 5 } and B = { 2 , 4 , -1 } , then find A × B and B × A . Find the number of elements in A × B & B × A

2:
(a) If A= {-1, 3, 6} and B = {-3, 5} then find A × B and B × A. Also draw the graphs of the cartesian products.

(b) If A = {2, 4} , B = {-1, 3, 7} , C = {1, 0} then with the help of three diagrams find A × B, B × A and A × B × C.

2. a) A={1,2,3,5} and B={4,6,9}

R={(x,y): the difference between x and y is odd x∈A,y∈B}

∴R={(1,4),(1,6),(2,9),(3,4),(3,6),(5,4),(5,6)}

b) If A=1,2,3

B=4,5

To find A∩B

We know A∩B is intersection of set A and set B giving out common elements of both sets.

Since A and B have no common elements,

A∩B=ϕ
