a. If there were 24 black bears, how many grizzly bears would there be? _



b. If the park had 12 grizzly bears, how many black bears would it have?



c. If the total number of black and grizzly bears was 20.

1 a) 3:1 = 24:x

=> 3/1 = 24/x

=> 3x = 1 * 24

=> x = 1 * 24 / 3

=> x = 8
