1) The Main source are papers, Temple, foreign accounts, coin etc.

Paper : The invention of paper made it easy for maintaining written records. like biographies and autobiographies which help us nowadays.

Temples: New temples were built which tells us about the materials used in that time. they also tell difference between south and north temple .

2) Vernacular act was passed by Lord Lytton to prevent press of Indian languages from expressing criticism against the British government .
