Total loss in the transaction = Rs 444

Step-by-step explanation:

invested Rs. 6024 in the shares of FV Rs. 10 when the market value was Rs. 60

Invested = Rs 6024

brokerage Paid = 0.4%

Let say  Shares Value = V

V + (0.4/100)V = 6024

=> V(1 .004) = 6024

=> V = 6000

Number of  Shares bought = 6000/60 = 100

60% dividend = (60/100) * 10 = Rs 6

Dividend received for 100 Shares = 6 * 100 = Rs 600

Sold for Rs 50 per share

Selling Price = 50 * 1000 = 5000

Brokerage Paid = (0.4/100) * 5000 = Rs 20

Received amount = 5000 - 20 = 4980 Rs

4980 + 600  = 5580 Rs

Loss = 6024 - 5580  = 444 Rs

total loss in the transaction = Rs 444
