National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005. ... The MGNREGA was initiated with the objective of "enhancing livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a financial year, to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work".

The main objectives of nrega ( national rural employment guaranty act) 2005 are :-

* to increase the income and employment of people.

* it aims to provide employment in 100 days. if it fails to do it will give unemployment allowances to the people.
