The correct answer will be option c.

  • 2 comes before 2.5. Therefore 2.5 will come after 2 on the number line.
  • 2.6 and 2.7 are greater than 2.5 and they will lie after 2.5 on the number line.
  • 2.4 is less than 2.5 and 2.7 is greater than 2.5, therefore, 2.5 will lie between 2.4 and 2.7
  • The numbers which lie to the left of 0 are negative numbers.

Answer:

As we know , on a number line all the positive numbers lie to the right side of the 0 and all the negative numbers lie to the left the 0 .

 a) 2  is less than 2.5 and comes before 2.5. Therefore 2.5 will come after 2 on the number line.

b) 2.6 and 2.7 are greater than 2.5 and thus they will lie after 2.5 on the number line.

c ) 2.4 is less than 2.5 and 2.7 is greater than 2.5, therefore, 2.5 will lie between 2.4 and 2.7

d) The numbers which lie to the left of 0 are negative numbers.

therefore, from above conclusions  we can say that option c is correct.
