Bahadur walked quickly down the lonely mountain road, he had gone to play with hi
friends on the other side of the hill. Seeing dark clouds in the sky, he was nov
rushing back home. At first big drop fell all around Bahadur. Soon however, the rain
came down in a rush. The wind blew into his face, lightning flashed across the sk
and thunder rumbled across the mountains. He ran to the first house that he coule
find. It was a broken-down hut but there was at least a roof above his head. As h
stood shivering in his wet clothes, he heard a faint sound coming from a comer of th
hut. In the dim light, he found a small puppy huddled in the corner. Bahadur picke
up the puppy and held it close to himself. For an hour, the storm raged around them
Slowly the rain became a drizzle and a ray of sunlight broke through the cloud
Bahadur stepped outside holding the puppy in his arms. Seeing the sunlight, th
puppy wriggled in his arms. Bahadur put it down and both of them headed home.
