yes this statement is completely true

hvgp: question answer 5-8 line
mohammedaysha62: Friction exist based on the relative motion between two surface sliding surface. When a surface is smooth, there is little or no resistance to motion when another smooth surface glides over it. Smooth surface have less friction because there is less resistance when they slide over each other.

yes the state mentioned is correct
if the surface is smoother there will not be a frictional force
eg roll a iron ball in a smooth surface

kaveriappan: thanks
kaveriappan: thanks for following me follow ing me sathium and for making me as a brainalist
kaveriappan: mr.hvup
hvgp: please give the answer
kaveriappan: in the smooth surface there will no obstacles so there will be no frictional force
kaveriappan: in the rough surface there will be lot of obstacle so there will be frictional force
