 1. The length of different metallic wires but of same area of cross section and made of the same material are given below:

WIRE                    LENGTH

A                             1m

B                              1.5m

C                              2m

a.out of these wires,which wire has higher resistance?

b.which wire has the highest electrical resistivity?Justify your answer.

R = (p \times l) \div a
R is Resistance, p is resistivity, l is length of wire and a is the area of cross section.
According to this Resistance is directly related to length of the wire. As given in the question they are made up of same material that means they'll have same resistivity and resistance will vary according to length.

So Wire C will have highest resistance.
