Given :  Three persons A, B, C are walking along a straight road at the points 11/3, 65/9, 93/20 respectively,

To Find  : person who is walking between the other two

(A) A

(B) B

(C) C

(D) None of these

Solution:

A   at  11/3

B   at  65/9

C   at   93/20

LCM of 3 , 9 and 20  = 180

Lets have common denominator 180 for all

A   at   11/3   = 660/180

B   at  65/9  = 1300/180

C   at  93/20  =  837/180

600 < 837  < 1300

=> A < C  < B

Hence C is in between A and B

person C is walking between the other two
