1) The most striking quality of Nicola & Jacopo was their willingness to work. The narrator found them extremely useful as they could be relied upon to satisfy his needs. He also found them very matured for their age and serious as he found them doing all of jobs under the hot sun.

3) Whenever Jenkins wanted ghost story, John managed to write one. This has made him overconfident. 'You understand I didn't specialise in a ghost story but they seemed to specialise in me'-these words of him process that he was overconfident.
