3. Write the function of the seminal vesicle.
Answers
Explanation:
1- so as to provide a temperature 2-2.5 degree C lower than body temperature that is ideal temperature for maturation of sperms.
pouch..scrotum
2- 1-in seminiferous tubules of male testes.
2-outside seminiferous tubule,in the interstitium of lobule of testes.
#sertoli cells also called sustenticular cells nouish the germ cells of testes.
3-seminal vesicle secrete 60-70 % of semen contains fructose,fibrinogen,prostaglandin, citrate,inositol etc.
Answer:
1.Human testes are located outside the abdominal cavity for maintaining low temperature (2–2.5o C lower than the normal internal body temperature) necessary for spermatogenesis. The pouch in which they are present. is called Scrotal sacs.
2.i)The supporting cells (Sertoli) are located within the seminiferous tubules. Their task is the creation of a hemato-testicular barrier and the nourishment of the spermatozoa. They can only proliferate in the first year of life (their equivalent in the woman are the follicular cells).
ii)Leydig cells, also known as interstitial cells of Leydig, are found adjacent to the seminiferous tubules in the testicle. They produce testosterone in the presence of luteinizing hormone (LH).
The cells that nourish the germ cells in testis are known as sertoli cells. These cells are present in the seminiferous tubules of testis
3.The function of the seminal vesicles is to both produce and store fluid that will eventually become semen. This fluid comprises about 70 percent of the fluid that's released during ejaculation.
