Here is your answer -
• Chemical Bond •
It is a force to attraction acting between two or more molecules to become stable.
• Reason for making bond or combination •
1. Tendency to acquire minimum energy - Every atom wants to become stable and stability can be achieved by having less energy. So, When two (or more) atoms approaches each other there are two forces acts between them.
(a.) Repulsive force between nuclei of both atoms.
(b.) Attraction force between nucleus of one and electrons of other and same for the second one.
- If net attraction force dominants then total energy of system decreases and bond forms.
2. Tendency to acquire noble gas configuration - As we know noble gases are most stable elements in periodic table because they have complete electrons in their orbits so there is no vacancies. So, atoms forms bond to share their electrons (partial, complete and mutual sharing) to fullfill their vaccant orbitals and to achieve nearest noble gas configuration.
Thanks !!!
