1. Nishkanto Gosh called on Patol Babu to tell him that his brother-in-law, Naresh Dutt who was in film business wanted to see him concerning some acting in a film scene. Patol Babu was quite excited to get an offer to work in a film as an actor. The offer evoked his past memories about his acting career, which had been quite successful. He had been quite a good actor. He was always in demand. His name had appeared in handbills on countless occasions.

2. When Patol Babu went to Faraday House for shooting, he felt quite nervous. He asked for his lines that he was to speak in his role. He was quite shocked, disappointed and enraged to know that he had to speak only the word ‘oh’. He just wanted to get away from the place.

 3. Patol Babu practiced very hard on his one-word dialogue.  He went to a secluded corner and started enunciating the syllable in various ways. Along with that he worked out how he would react physically when the collision took place--how his features would be twisted in pain, how he would fling out his arms, how his body would crouch to express pain and surprise--all these he performed in various ways in front of a large glass window.
