1. Write equations for the following statements:
(a) The sum of numbers n and 10 is 25.
(b) The difference between d and 11 is 40. (c) Seven times m is 84.
(d) 13 added to quotient of t and 7 gives 20. (e) 3 subtracted from 5 times b is 12.
(f) 5 times x added to 3 gives 18.(g)One-sixth of c is 2 more than 8.
(h) If you add 4 to one-fourth of p, you get 40.

a) n + 10 = 25

b) d - 11 ( if d > 11)

11 - d ( if d < 11)

c) 7m = 84

d) (t/7) + 13 = 20

e) 5b - 3 = 12

f) 3 + 5x = 18

g) (1/6)c = 8+2 ⇒ c/6 = 10

h) [(1/4)p] + 4 = 40 ⇒ (p/4) + 4 = 40
