Some uses of ethanoic acid are:-

1.They are treated with ethanol in the presence of conc. H2so4 in the process of esterification

2. They are also used with sodium carbonate and sodium hydrogen carbonate in the process of saponification.

3. They are also treated with edible oil to obtain soap and glycerol.

We can obtain ethanoic acid from ethanol by using alk. Kmno4 or acidification k2cr2o7

Uses of ethanol are:-

1.Used with ethanoic acid in process of esterification

2. Obtained by breaking down of ethyl ethanoate (ester)

3. Used in medicines as tincture iodine,cough syrups and tonics
