1. To dilute an acid we must always add acid to water drop by drop and not water to acid as, if we add water to acid a lot of steam and heat is produced and the acid may slash on us and our surroundings and burn us and the things near to us.

2. No, it is not advisable to give Paheli orange juice as orange juice contains citric acid with will only increase the acidity Paheli is suffering from.

3. Two neutralization reactions in our day to day lives are as follows:

  • if a nettle plant stings us we can use the leaf of a dock plant t help our sting.
  • if a bee stings us it releases acid into our body, we can use baking soda which is a mild bases to help neutralize the sting caused by the bee

1.Press some lemon and take out the juice in a glass. Then, mix some water to it, thus an acidic solution is prepared..
2. No, because it is acidic and giving more acid will increase the acidity...
3. E.g :-i) Farmers give lime water to the acidic soil to make it neutralise and to make fertile....
ii) If anyone drinks a lot of alcohol, lemonade or orange juice is given to him to neutralise the alcohol.....
Hope it helps.....
