Given : 10.5 सेमी त्रिज्या वाले वृत्त

Circle of  Radius 10.5 cm  

To Find :  samantar sparash rekha ke bich ki duri

Distance between Parallel tangent lines

Solution:

Circle of  Radius 10.5 cm  

Let Draw two tangents AX & BY parallel to Each other ( A & B point on circle)

Lets draw a line OZ parallel to tangent passing through O ( center of circle)

∠OAX = 90°

∠AOZ =180° - ∠OAX = 180° - 90° = 90°  ( Interior angles are supplementary )

∠OBX = 90°

∠BOZ = 180° - ∠OBX = 180° - 90° = 90°  ( Interior angles are supplementary )

∠AOZ = 90°

∠BOZ =  90°

=> ∠AOZ  + ∠BOZ =  180° ( Linear Pair )

Hence AOB is straight line

AB = AO + OB

OA & OB = Radius = 10.5 cm

=> AB = 10.5 + 10.5

=> AB = 21 cm

Distance between Parallel tangent lines  = 21 cm
