Answer:

If 15 men and 6 women started to finish up the same work, it will take 5 days for them to complete it.

Solution:

Given, 10 men can finish up the work in = 10 days

12 women can finish up the work in = 10 days.

Thus, Work of 10 men = Work of 12 women

10 men = 12 women

5 men = 6 women

∴ 15 men and 6 women = 15 men + 5 men = 20 men.

Thus, time required by 15 men and 6 women = time required by 20 men

10 men needs = 10 days

And, 20 men needs

= (10 × 10)/20 days

= 5 days.

Hence, if 15 men and 6 women started to finish up the same work, it will take 5 days for them to complete it.
