The presence of cancerous tumours in the parathyroid glands cause oversecretion of the parathormone hormone.
OVERSECRETION OF PARATHORMONE CAUSES:-
- Increased loss of Ca++ from the bones and loss of Ca++ in the urine leading to the disease called osteitis fibrosa.
- Deposition of Ca++ in the kidney tubules leading to renal stones.
