Answer:

The force due to gravity on a body of mass m kept on the surface of Earth (mass=M and radius=R) is equal to the force of attraction between the Earth and that body.Force of gravity is basically the force exerted on the body of mass m , due to the gravitational force of the Earth . So, the force of gravity (F) should be equal to mass of the object multiplied by the mass of the earth and the gravitational of the earth, divided by the square of the radius of the eartyh. The force due to gravity ‘F’ acting on a body of mass placed on the earth’s surface having mass ‘m’and radius ‘r’ is equivalent to the force of attraction between the body and the earth.
