Oh boy...
So given equation
10^x = 64
Take log on both sides
log (10^x) = log 64
If you have studied logarithms, you should know the rules
log (10^x) = log ( 8^2)
x log10 = 2 log8 [ ∵ log (a^b)= b loga]
x = 2 log ( 2^3) [ ∵ log 10 = 1]
x = 6 log2
Taking approx value of log 2 ( had to use a calculator)
i.e. log 2 = 0.301
x = 6 * 0.301
x = 1.806
That's the value of x.
