In ΔABC:AB=4

BC=12

AC=20

In ΔDEF:DF=40

EF=24

ED=8

Step-by-step explanation:

As given, ΔABC is similar to ΔDEF.

So,  (x-1)/8=(2x+2)/(2x+9)=4x/8x

⇒(x-1)/8=4x/8x

⇒(x-1)8=1/2

⇒2(x-1)=8

⇒2x-2=8

⇒2x=10

⇒x=10/2=5

Now put the vale of x in sides of ΔABC:

AB=x-1=5-1=4

BC=2x+2=2×5+2=12

AC=4x=4×5=20

Again, put x=5 in sides of ΔDEF:

DF=8x=8×5=40

EF=3x+9=3×5+9=15+9=24
