Hello!

\sf 10x^{2} + 6xy + y^{2} - (9x^{2} - y^{2})

\sf 10x^{2} + 6xy + y^{2} - 9x^{2} + y^{2}

\sf 10x^{2} - 9x^{2} + y^{2} + y^{2} + 6xy

\boxed{\sf x^{2} + 2y^{2} + 6xy}

Cheers!

10x {}^{2}  + 6xy + y {}^{2}  - (9x {}^{2} - y {}^{2}  ) \\  = 10x {}^{2}  + 6xy + y {}^{2} - 9x {}^{2}  + y {}^{2}  \\ =  x {}^{2}   + 6xy   + 2y {}^{2}
hope this helps.....if correct.......
