12 = (3/2 + x/3)/(1/6 + 1/3)
lcm of 2,3=6
lcm of 6,3=6
12 = (9+2x)/6)/(1+2)/6)
take reciprocal and multiply
so 6 and 6 will cancel
12=9+2x/3
cross multiply 3 with 12
9+2x=36
2x=36-9
2x=27
x=27/2 or 13.53

12 =  \frac{( \frac{3}{2}+ \frac{x}{3} ) }{( \frac{1}{6}+ \frac{1}{3} ) }

12 = \frac{( \frac{9+2x}{6} ) }{( \frac{3}{6}) }

12 = \frac{( \frac{9+2x}{6} ) }{( \frac{1}{2}) }

6 =\frac{9+2x}{6}

36 = 9 + 2x

2x = 27

x = 13.5
