ANSWER :

Height of the tower is 2.45 m

EXPLANATION :

Let height of the tower be 2x

Distance covered is half the height

So distance covered is x

Since the body starts from rest, u=0m/s

t = 0.5 sec

a=g=9.8m/s²

s = ut + 1/2 at²

x = 0 + 0.5 × 9.8 × 0.5 × 0.5

x = 1.225

So it travelled 1.225 m in 0.5 sec

Height = 2x = 2× 1.225 = 2.45 m

So height of the tower is 2.45 m
