We know that

X=vt OR AREA UNDER CURVE

Hence

from

first triangle

x=vt

X1=1/2Base ×Height

x1 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times bh

x1 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times 1 = 2.5m

X2 area of rectangle = l×b=1×4=4m(since distance cannot be negative)

X3 are of second triangle=1/2b×h

x3 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 5 \times 1 =  \frac{1}{2} \times 5 = 2.5

total distance=9m
