Step-by-step explanation:

age of father= 46 years

age of son = 14 years

a) ratio= 46:14=23:7

b) when son is 12 years old then father is 46-2=44 years old

ratio= 44:12= 11:3

c) after 8 years the age of father is 46+8= 54 years old and the age of son is 14+8=22 years old

ratio= 54:22= 27:11

d) when father is 40 years old then the age of son is 14-6= 8 years

ratio= 40:8= 5:1
