hello friend !

here is your answer

14/x +y+3/x -y =5
==> 14/x +3/x =5
==>17/x =5
==> x = 17/5

putting it in second eq.

21/(17/5) +y-1 / {(17/5)-y}. =2

==> y-1 / (17/5)-y = 2-105/7
==> 5(y-1)/17-5y = -88/7
==> 5y-5 = ( -88/7)(17-5y)
==>5y-5 =( -1496-440y)/7
==>35y-35 = -1496-440y
==>35y+440y = -1496 +35
==> 475y = -1461

y = -1461/475

hope it helps

Hiiii friend,

14/X + Y + 3/X-Y = 5------------(1)

21/X+Y - 1/X-Y = 2--------------(2)

Let 1/X + Y = U and 1/X-Y = V and put these value in equation (1) and equation (2).

14U + 3V = 5----------(3)

21U - V = 2--------------(4)

From equation (3) we get,

14U + 3V = 5

14U = 5-3V

U = 5-3V/14----------(5)

Putting the value of U in equation (2)

21U - V = 2

21 × (5-3V/14) - V= 2

105 - 63V/14 - V = 2

105 - 63V - 14V = 14 × 2

- 77V = 28-105

-77V = -77

V = -77/-77 => 1

Putting the value of V in equation (3)

U = 5-3V/14 => 5-3 × 1/14 => 5-3/14 = 2/14 = 1/7

Therefore,

1/X + Y = U

1/X+Y = 1/7

7 = X + Y

X + Y = 7----------(1)

And,

1/X-Y = V

1/X - Y = 1

X - Y = 1--------(2)

From equation (1) we get,

X + Y = 7

X = 7-Y--------(3)

Putting the value of X in equation (2)

X - Y = 1

7-Y -Y = 1

-2Y = 1-7

-2Y = -6

Y = 6/2 = 3

Putting the value of Y in equation (3)

X = 7-Y => 7-3 = 4

Hence,

X = 4 and Y = 3.

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU....... :-)
