a) totol no of children's are 3000
no of favorable outcome = no of families in which the no of girls is 0 or 1
=211+814
= 1025
now
probability= 1025/3000
= 41/120
b)total no. is 3000
no of favorable outcome = no of families in which no of girls is 1 or 2
=814+475
= 1289
now
probability= 1289/3000
no of favorable outcome = no of families in which the no of girls is 0 or 1

= 1025
