x + y = 36

x - y = 8

x = 22

y = 14

x*y = 22*14 = 308

Given

we have given sum of two positive integers is 36

and their difference is 8

To find

we have to find their product

\sf\huge\bold{\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

Let us assume that the two positive integers be 'x' and 'y'

According to the question

Sum of two positive integers is 36

then our Equation becomes:x+y= 36---(1)

Also ,their differences is 8

then our Equation becomes: x-y = 8----(2)

Adding Equation 1 and 2

We get : x+y +x-y = 36+8

=>2x= 44

=>x= 22

We get x = 22

From equation 1

=>x+y= 36

=>22+y=36

=>y= 36-22

=>y= 14

Now ,we have to find their product

product of numbers = xy
