The magnetic dipole moment of a coil of wire is given by, M = ANi
Where,
- A is cross sectional area of coil of wire.
- N is number of turns
- i is current through the wire.
Here, A = 600 cm² = 600 × 10⁻⁴ m² = 0.06 m² , N = 500 turns and i = 1.5A
∴ M = 0.06 × 500 × 1.5 = 45 Am²
