Hii,
Let total strenghth=x
No. of boys=2/3 of x=2x/3
No. of girls=17
Now,(2x/3)+17=x
(2x+51)/3=x
2x+51=3x
51=3x-2x
x=51
No. of boys=(2/3)×51=34
So ,the total strenghth is 51 and no. of boys is 34

Let the total no of students be x.
No of boys = 2/3x
No of girls = x - 2/3x = 17
3/3x - 2/3x = 17
1/3x = 17
x = 17 divided by 1/3
x = 17 * 3
x = 51
Total no of students = 51
No of girls = 17
No of boys = 51 - 17
= 34
No of boys = 2/3x
No of girls = x - 2/3x = 17
3/3x - 2/3x = 17
1/3x = 17
x = 17 divided by 1/3
x = 17 * 3
x = 51
Total no of students = 51
No of girls = 17
No of boys = 51 - 17
= 34
